Learn More About Daryl Bizier, the “Sweet Tea” Guy

Daryl Bizier has always wanted to help people. A single father of three children, Daryl’s life was forever changed at 14 when he was shot in the right eye by a BB gun. Blinded in one eye, Bizier struggled with depth perception issues that caused him to stop playing sports. Still wanting to be involved in sports, however, he started coaching at 18.

Daryl spent years of his life coaching numerous sports, including high school and travel baseball. He even became the athletic director for the school his children attended. Bizier also was President of the local USPIE (United States Parents Involved in Education) chapter. This all stemmed from his desire to help others reach their full potential. He continues to coach high school baseball to this day.

An avid sports fan, Daryl’s interest in competitive cornhole was no surprise. Although having previously played it at football games or school fundraisers, Bizier wasn’t completely hooked until he participated in a blind draw cornhole competition while eating out. He soon started going to tournaments and became determined to become a pro, eventually ranking in the top 100 players in open standings.

Fast forward to today and Daryl Bizier is a rising star in the cornhole world, as a competitive member of the ACL (American Cornhole League). Sponsored by Lucky Bags, his consistently high scores showcase his skill and expertise. He also continues to coach, training the next generation in cornhole. His drive and actions ensure the game he loves continues to thrive.
